Half of Port Charles will be affected by the truth about Gio.
The long-awaited secret is about to come out on General Hospital. The child Brook Lynn gave birth to as a teen is the Quartermaine houseguest Gio, and Dante is the unknowing father. This bit of news will not only affect the three of them but will also cause chaos in the lives of many family members.
The Only One
The only one with all the information is Lois (Rena Sofer). Her teenage daughter confided in Lois that she was pregnant. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) believes her mom arranged for an adoption, but the baby somehow became the child of friends from the neighborhood. Lois’ secret is about to come out, and she may be in trouble.
Parents And Child
The person who will be affected more than anyone is Gio (Giovanni Mazza). The poor kid grew up never knowing he was adopted. His dad died in Afghanistan, so he was raised by a single mom in Bensonhurst, who also passed away. He will now find out that his biological family has been around him his whole life, but he never knew it.
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) never knew his teenage camp girlfriend was pregnant, let alone that he had a son living in the same house. As for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), her mom gave her baby to a neighbor, and he grew up right under her nose.
The Husband
Chase (Josh Swickard) is having a tough time. He recently discovered that he cannot father a child and that his wife had a teen pregnancy. Now, he is about to find out that the father of her baby is his partner and good friend, and the now-grown baby is living with them all. That’s a lot and may affect his marriage.
Married Grandma And Grandpa
Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) is Dante’s mom. Ned (Wally Kurth) is Brook Lynn’s dad. They are about to discover that their son and daughter had a child. They suddenly share a grandson they never knew existed. Their son Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda) is also Gio’s uncle.
The couple may be slightly upset with Lois when they find out that her friend knew who Gio was all along. When the shock wears off, she and Ned will probably be overjoyed to have another grandson and will welcome him with open arms.
Great-Grandma
Tracy’s (Jane Elliott) reaction will be the most fun. She will tear into Lois like no one else. She has a great-grandson and never knew it? Another Quartermaine? This will be all the ammunition Tracy needs to go ballistic.
The good news is that Tracy has taken a liking to Gio. There is something about the violinist that Tracy appreciates. She will probably be thrilled when she knows his true identity. With Drew (Cameron Mathison) being thrown out of the family and Michael (ex-Chad Duell) out of the picture for a while, Gio will be Tracy’s golden boy. These two may have a beautiful relationship. But just wait until she finds out she has to share him with Sonny (Maurice Benard).
The Other Grandpa
There is a chance that Sonny already knows who Gio really is. The mob boss has supported the violinist for years and pays his tuition. Is he doing that out of the kindness of his heart, or did Lois confide in him? Either way, Sonny will embrace Gio. Family is everything to him.
Half Brother
As if Rocco (Finn Carr) doesn’t have enough going on. His beloved stepmother was recently murdered, his mom came out of a four-year coma, and his sister is on the run. He is now about to find out he has an older brother. That’s a lot for any teenager to deal with, but he may appreciate Gio. He is already close with Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and another sibling may be good for him.
Aunts And Uncles And Cousins Oh My!
It is hard to keep track of all of Sonny’s children, but between his kids and grandkids, it is a big group. Michael and his children, Kristina (Kate Mansi), Donna (Scarlett Spears), and Avery (Ava & Grace Scarola), will all have a new family member.
The Nosybody
Lulu (Alexa Havins) has made this secret about her. She is Dante’s ex and Rocco’s mom, but it’s not so much her business. Lulu is Lulu, so she stuck herself in the middle and became the one who blew it all up. This should be interesting. What are your thoughts on the truth coming out? Let us know in the comments section.
