This SLO County Farmer Wants A Wife, So He Went On The Dating Show. Here’s How To Watch

A Morro Bay avocado grower is looking for love — and he’ll soon appear on a new season of the dating show “Farmer Wants a Wife.” Matt Warren, 30, is a first-generation avocado and exotic fruit farmer who owns a 132-acre farm in Morro Bay and a 70-acre farm in Visalia, according to a news release from Fox.

He’s one of four farmers featured in Season 3 of the Fox TV show, in which farmers are set up on dates with women interested in country life. Warren originally worked in real estate, but he took up farming a few years ago when his sister-in-law’s parents died, the news release said. Warren, his brother and sister-in-law now work together. “While he enjoys the loving nickname ‘Uncle Matt’ from his nine nieces and nephews, he’s more than ready for his own little one to call him ‘Dad,’” the news release said. “Matt is looking for someone active and family-oriented who can keep up with the fun of the fruit farming lifestyle.”

While filming the season, the farmers met prospective matches at a speed-dating event, a country ball and an overnight camping mixer. The farmers even had the option to bring a successful date back to their farm to meet the family and learn about the lifestyle.

“As the ladies immerse themselves in the realities of farm life, some will blossom while some will head out to pasture, and only time will tell if they have the patience, spirit and adaptability required to be a farmer’s wife,” the news release said. Season 3 will premier on March 20 on Hulu, Fox.com, Tubi and On Demand.
