Reports have emerged that Cruise is all set to perform a stunt during the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

It is also reported that part of the stunt was already filmed in March. Recently, he was seen performing another deadly plane stunt for his upcoming film, Mission: Impossible 8. Earlier, he flew a bike off of a cliff for his film MI 7. Fans have often wondered how the 62-year-old pulls off these stunts.

Tom Cruise Is All Set To Perform A Death-Defying Stunt At Paris Olympics

The Paris Olympics closing ceremony is all set to get a feature from Tom Cruise, who will pass on the Olympics flag to Los Angeles for the 2028 edition. The Top Gun actor is going to do it in his signature style, by choreographing a whole stunt for the process.

According to TMZ, the plan is for Cruise to rappel down from the top of Stade de France and land on the stadium field while carrying the official Olympic flag. From there, he will fly the flag to Los Angeles, where he will skydive down to the Hollywood sign. TMZ also reported that the Los Angeles part of the stunt was already performed and recorded.

The outlet reported that Cruise was seen filming at the famous Hollywood sign back in March, but fans had no idea what the shoot was about. After the pre-recorded stunt in LA, the Jerry Maguire actor will then pass on the flag to other Olympians to kick off the Summer Olympics of 2028.

Fans were just in awe of the actor and his ability to perform such risky stunts. One of the fan comments shared that there would never be another daring actor like him. The reports also suggest that the logistics for the stunt in France is still a work in progress. The closing ceremony is set on August 11 and if things get too complicated, the actor might have to actually use a stunt double. It is also reported that the initiative for the stunt came from Cruise himself.

Tom Cruise Recently Performed A Deadly Plane Stunt For Mission: Impossible 8

Daily Mail UK earlier released photos of a dangerous stunt performed by Tom Cruise during the production of Mission: Impossible 8 in Oxfordshire. He was captured performing a deadly stunt on a flying plane. The daring stunt involved the actor hanging from the side of a plane, as it flew upside down.

Esai Morales, who plays the antagonist Gabriel in the films, was also seen riding in the backseat of the plane. Cruise’s stunt on the yellow Stearman biplane went viral and fans expressed admiration for his stunt work. Interestingly, the filming of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning kickstarted with Cruise jumping off a cliff on a bike.

The actor is not reckless with his stunts. During an interview with ET, he shared that he prepped hard for the scene in MI 7 and just wanted to be done with the scene and have his mind somewhere else while shooting the rest of the film. It might take a while for fans to see MI 8 in theaters, therefore, the Paris Olympics stunt comes as a treat.
