Tom Cruise made a special appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony to perform an electrifying stunt.

The feat saw the action movie star leap from the top of the Stade de France and into a crowd of Olympians. After being greeted by the world’s greatest athletes, gymnast Simone Biles handed him the flag so it could be transported to the home of the 2028 Olympic Games: Los Angeles. Cruise then took off on his motorcycle, flag in tow, leading to a pre-recorded segment where he drives through Paris and jumps out of a plane before ending his globe-trotting journey at the Hollywood sign in California.

It was a moment straight out of a Mission Impossible movie. Artist H.E.R. even helped channel the action movie vibes by playing Cruise in with music from the film.

Cruise’s Olympics closing ceremony stunt became one of the most anticipated events of the Olympics after reports indicated he would be involved in the show a few weeks ago. Few details about what the stunt would be were shared at the time, so it’s no surprise to see the actor show up with something truly mind-boggling today. However, the Top Gun star wasn’t the only celebrity to help pass the torch to the forthcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. California-based artists Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Snoop Dogg also put on performances to help welcome the world ahead of the next summer games.
