Sylvester Stallone and Paramount+’s Tulsa King season 2 adds an MCU star as a new mobster with interests in Dwight Manfredi’s territory.

Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King season 2 adds an MCU star as a new mobster with interests in Dwight Manfredi’s territory. After a hugely successful first season on Paramount+, Stallone’s crime drama is back in production, as the star recently confirmed. Tulsa King season 2 sees Terence Winter back as a writer, after the season 1 showrunner departed due to creative differences, while stars Annabella Sciorra and Tatiana Zappardino see their status bumped from recurring to series regular.

But those aren’t the only big changes in store for Tulsa King season 2, as the show is also adding some muscle to the cast, bringing in MCU star Frank Grillo as Bill Bevilaqua, a Kansas City mobster whose interests extend to Tulsa (via Deadline).

When Will Tulsa King Season 2 Premiere?

Stallone himself confirmed that production on Tulsa King season 2 is indeed underway. In a social media posting, the star declared that viewers “have no idea what’s coming” when the Taylor Sheridan-produced show returns to Paramount+. When exactly that return will happen is yet to be revealed. Given that production is now underway, it’s realistic to think Tulsa King season 2 will arrive some time in late 2024.

The addition of MCU and Purge franchise star Grillo to the Tulsa King cast is a major development, one that brings another heavy-hitting veteran actor to the show alongside a returning Stallone. It’s yet to be seen what Grillo’s Bill Bevilaqua will get up to on the show, but it’s safe to assume that he will butt heads with Stallone’s Dwight somewhere along the line.

Tulsa King season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, as Dwight was arrested by his ATF love interest Stacy (Andrea Savage). It’s fair to assume that Dwight’s stint behind bars won’t last long, and that he’ll soon be back in Tulsa building up his criminal empire with the help of his crew, Lawrence (Martin Starr), Tyson (Jay Will) and Manny (Max Casella). Stallone’s recent tease promises surprises as the Tulsa King cast reassembles, with some intriguing new additions in the mix.
