Get ready for more action, crime and drama as Paramount+’s Tulsa King returns this fall with a second season.
The series stars Sylvester Stallone as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a former mob boss establishing a new crime empire in Oklahoma. The season 2 teaser showcases Stallone’s Dwight boldly proclaiming, “Tulsa belongs to me now. I don’t answer to any man,” setting the tone for an intense season as Dwight and his crew solidify their empire in Tulsa, while facing threats from the Kansas City mob and a powerful local businessman.
The series is executive produced by Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan and written by Terence Winter, who has worked on iconic productions like The Sopranos and The Wolf of Wall Street. For season 2, Tulsa King introduced director Craig Zisk to the team.
The journey to the second season of Tulsa King has been somewhat tumultuous, however, with Winter initially stepping down as showrunner due to conflicts with producer Sheridan, per The Hollywood Reporter. Winter later returned as the series’ lead writer, while Zisk assumed production responsibilities. Despite some controversy on set, including reports of mistreatment of extras (of which Zisk has denied), the show prevailed, building excitement for fans ahead of its second season
