Tulsa King star Sylvester Stallone confirms that season 2 has now wrapped filming with a new behind-the-scenes video. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the hit crime drama premiered on Paramount Plus in 2022, following Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi as he leaves prison and begins to build himself a new criminal empire in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After becoming a viewership hit, Tulsa King season 2 was confirmed, with a premiere date now set for fall 2024.
As the wait continues for the new episodes, Stallone shares a celebratory post on Instagram confirming that Tulsa King season 2 filming has now wrapped. Check it out below:

Stallone’s video features the actor, in costume as Dwight, surrounded by an applauding cast and crew before he then delivers a short speech celebrating his coworkers for their hard work. His caption for the video is included below in which he expresses a similar sentiment:
“That’s a wrap on Tulsa King season 2. Thank you to the incredible crew who made this possible through hell and high water. It was a challenge that we overcame together, and I’m so grateful to have these soldiers by my side. Check out season 2 of Tulsa King out September 15 on [Paramount Plus].”

Will The Taylor Sheridan Show Go Beyond Season 2?
Stallone has starred in some iconic action franchises over the course of his decades-long career, but he’s now left most of his iconic characters behind. His last time playing John Rambo was in 2019’s Rambo: Last Blood, and he’s now also seemingly said goodbye to the Rocky franchise after sitting out Creed 3. Stallone returned for a small role in the disastrous Expendables 4 last year, but even before that sequel flopped critically and commercially, it was designed to serve as a pass-torching of the franchise to Jason Statham.
Stallone leads the Tulsa King cast, playing a character that’s perfect for his age (Stallone is now 78). The reviews for the series were generally quite positive, with praise aimed at the writing and Stallone’s commanding performance. Season 1 currently enjoys a 79% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, but the audience score is glowing at 91%. This positive audience sentiment was evidently reflected in the show’s viewership, too, as Tulsa King had the most-watched debut of 2022 when looking only at cable-viewing figures.
The Tulsa King season 1 ending sets audiences up for an even more intense and action-packed season 2, and the season 2 trailer certainly promises plenty of these elements moving forward. If the show’s sophomore outing can continue the same level of quality and viewership as season 1, it’s possible that more seasons could be on the horizon to continue Dwight’s story. It remains to be seen what’s next for Stallone’s character in Tulsa King season 2, but the show is evidently now one step closer to returning to screens.
Tulsa King season 2 airs on September 15 on Paramount Plus.
