‘I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change,’ Sylvester Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin said of their move to Florida
Sylvester Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin is settling into life in Florida after leaving California. The Oscar-nominated actor and Flavin, whom he married in 1997, made the cross-country move in 2021.
“It’s an incredible move, I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change,” Flavin told Fox News Digital at Philadelphia’s first annual Rocky Day on Monday.
The LA native shared the inspiration behind the relocation and added, “I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone’s out, our daughters moved to the East Coast … so there wasn’t really anything left for me in California.”
She continued, “A few of our best friends also moved, so I think it’s [a] good change, just making new friends, living a totally different lifestyle. I love it, I’m really happy.”
Flavin later clarified that crime in California wasn’t a factor in their decision to leave.
“There’s crime everywhere, there’s crime in Florida, too, so I didn’t move because of crime,” she explained. “You can find it anywhere you look, even in small towns.”
When it all comes down to it, Flavin said that although “California is probably the most beautiful state in the United States” she said she “just needed a change. I felt like I’ve been there long enough, and life is short, so I wanted to make a change and not just be sitting in one house the rest of my life.”
The actress and entrepreneur’s reflection comes over a year after she and the Creed actor called off their divorce. Flavin filed in August 2022 and the couple reconciled a month later.
“They decided to meet back up at home, where they talked and were able to work out their differences. They are both extremely happy,” a rep for Stallone told Page Six at the time.
The pair share three daughters: Scarlett, 21, Sistine, 25, Sophia, 27. Stallone is also dad to sons Sage, 36, and Seargeoh, 44, whom he shares with his former wife Sasha Czack.
