Yellowstone Fans Predict ‘Bleak’ Blood Bath For Season 5’s ‘Worst Case Scenario’ Ending

Yellowstone is to make a comeback later this year but some fans are predicting a brutal end to the Dutton family.

Yellowstone season five will be the end of the iconic drama and theories are coming in thick and fast as the countdown continues.

From the get-go, the Duttons have been at loggerheads with enemies trying to take the Yellowstone ranch from underneath them as well as with each other.

The first half of season five took the drama to a whole new level as Jamie Dutton (played by Wes Bentley) started talking to lawyer Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) about hiring a hitman for his sister Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly).

He also called for the impeachment of his dad John Dutton (Kevin Costner) as the Governor of Montana so everyone isn’t exactly playing happy families in the Paramount Network hit.

This has led some fans to believe that a gripping yet gruesome plot could be on the way for part two.

Taking to Reddit, a user asked fellow viewers to give their “best and worst case scenarios” for the remaining episodes.

This prompted one fan to theorise: “Beth turns evidence on Jamie. The train station is discovered causing a major investigation causing a rift between Beth and John.

“John throws the bunkhouse under the bus. Lloyd dies whilst being arrested. Rip is furious.

“Rip and John kill each other, then Beth kills herself.

“Kayce gives Rainwater the ranch as he wants to move on and start a new with his family but the state seizes it with plans to build housing on it.”

And it seemed this line of thought has gone down well with other viewers with the post receiving a number of upvotes.

“Holy s***, that’s bleak. I love it”, someone simply replied, while another said: “I could see this happening. Especially the part where John throws the bunkhouse under the bus for the train station.”

Of course, it is all just speculation at this point with creator Taylor Sheridan remaining tight-lipped on his final scripts for the award-winning show.

Another matter that is still very much up in the air is the presence of John Dutton actor Kevin Costner.

Last year, it was announced that Costner would not be returning for part two after reported creative differences and scheduling conflicts with his film franchise Horizon: An American Saga.

But, in recent months, the 69-year-old has openly stated that he would “love” to return to Yellowstone in order to finish off John’s story properly.

However, filming has now begun on the upcoming episodes and it is growing more unlikely that he will feature in the drama’s last outing.

Yellowstone is available to watch on Paramount Network.
