The first full trailer for Yellowstone season five has been released and it’s safe to say that the Dutton family have never been in more danger as they face their biggest threat yet

Yellowstone season five is set to make a dramatic return to Paramount Plus on November 11, complete with the final episodes and a gripping new trailer that’s just dropped.

The teaser kicks off with John Dutton, portrayed by Hollywood heavyweight Kevin Costner, ominously declaring: “Everyone has forgotten who runs this valley. Time to remind them.”

Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), appears visibly concerned about preserving their “family legacy”, while her on-screen husband Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), makes a solemn pledge to defend it “with his life” a statement that hints at potential tragedy ahead.

Adding to the sense of impending doom, Sarah Atwood, Jamie Dutton’s love interest played by Dawn Olivieri, chillingly remarks: “Old lions die in the jaws of the younger lions, and you are the younger lion.”

Her manipulative nature suggests she’s been using Jamie for her own ends, setting the stage for a possible devastating betrayal within the Dutton clan, reports the Express.

Elsewhere, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) solidify a powerful bond, with Thomas affirming, “we are your brothers now” as they prepare to shed blood together.

The trailer is rife with scenes of gunfire and blazing infernos, as Rip forewarns of an imminent conflict.

Beth reveals her vulnerability to Rip over a drink, confessing: “I can’t do this any more,” only for Rip to respond firmly: “Well you’re going to have to, honey. Or we are going to lose this place.”

Tears stream down her face as she cautions someone, though it’s not specified who: “You will ruin this family’s name”.

With John asserting “the war is just beginning”, Beth delivers the haunting closing line: “The only thing left to do is to kill as much as you can before they kill you.”
