Yellowstone, one of the most popular television series in recent memory, captured millions of hearts with its riveting storytelling, compelling characters, and stunning landscapes. The beloved Yellowstone series ended with its fifth but fans are looking forward to Season 6.

But will the story continue on? The season 5B finale that aired on Sunday delivered on the epic conclusion that had been promised by revealing the fate of the ranch at the heart of Taylor Sheridan‘s saga, as well as the fate of the Duttons whose family has been running that ranch for 141 years.

Fans are now asking, “Will there be a Yellowstone Season 6?” The answer is both exciting and bittersweet: while the original series has concluded with Season 5, the Yellowstone universe is far from over.

Is Yellowstone season 6 coming soon?

Asked whether creator Taylor Sheridan has kept the door open to continue on with Beth and Rip, Executive producer Christina Voros told Hollywood Reporter, “I think he has left the door wide open for any number of stories to come out of that romance, and because people are in love with them, I think an audience would be interested in seeing whatever story that would become. Because ultimately, when you have interesting, complicated characters, especially those with dark secrets, something interesting is going to happen. And I think what he has done with the way he ends the show, it could be the end of the fairytale or it could be the beginning of another tragedy. You just don’t know.”

While Yellowstone Season 6 isn’t happening, the franchise’s future is brighter than ever. With multiple spinoffs and prequels in the works, fans can continue to explore the rich and complex world of the Dutton family.
