Yellowstone’s Rip Wheeler star Cole Hauser has revealed what fans can expect from his character’s storyline in the final six episodes of season five.

Yellowstone sensation Cole Hauser has spilled the beans on what’s in store for his character Rip Wheeler in the eagerly awaited concluding six episodes of season five.

The Paramount Network hit series faced uncertainty after the exit of A-lister Kevin Costner, leaving fans hanging since the last episodes aired back in 2022.

However, the show’s trajectory is now looking up with a fresh batch of episodes set to drop in November, alongside whispers of multiple spin-offs and sequels in development.

In the interim, Hauser has given eager viewers a sneak peek into Rip’s upcoming journey alongside his formidable spouse Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) and their life on the ranch.

He disclosed that the forthcoming segment “is about picking up the pieces… putting them back together and trying to move on.”

Adding to the anticipation, the actor teased: “My storyline is totally different. Kelly’s as well.”

The latest instalment saw the Dutton family embroiled in their relentless battle against Market Equities, with new adversary Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) stirring the pot by aligning with Beth’s sibling Jamie (Wes Bentley).

The midseason climax brought the Duttons’ internal strife to a head, culminating in Beth assaulting Jamie with a rock, followed by Jamie’s threat to unveil a trove of family skeletons, reports the Mirror.

Yet, the final moments of Yellowstone’s most recent episode before its hiatus concluded on an optimistic note, showcasing Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) contemplating his father’s offer to assume control of the ranch.

In a revealing chat with TVLine, Cole Hauser shared insights on his character’s development in the upcoming season: “You’re going to see a side of Rip you haven’t seen.

“He’s running the ranch, being supportive of Beth, helping Kayce, doing all the things that John would want.”

Hauser expressed his enthusiasm for Rip’s journey this year: “He takes the responsibility very seriously, and I love that about this year for him.”

Speculation around the potential exit of Costner’s character, John Dutton, has been rife, and Hauser’s comments about Rip showing a “different side” could be teasing this major plot twist. Meanwhile, Rip’s stint away from Beth as he manages affairs in Texas is set to shake things up.

Discussing Rip and Beth’s deep connection, Hauser remarked, “They are two souls that have a hard time being away from each other.”

He also teased an intriguing scenario involving Beth: “Beth doesn’t like the idea of me being down in Texas. She pulls a pretty cool trick and finds me down in the middle of nowhere.”

Yellowstone enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the moment when the show’s beloved couple, known for their fiery relationship, will reunite in what promises to be a dramatic and romantic scene.

Yellowstone season 5, part 2 premieres Sunday, November 10 on Paramount.
