Yellowstone’s John Dutton Has Mic Drop Moment On Vegetarians And Vegans: “You Kill Everything On The Ground & Under It”

The patriarch of the Yellowstone empire, the wise and powerful John Dutton (Kevin Costner) dropped a truth bomb on a new character, Summer Higgins (Piper Perabo), back in Episode 5 of Season 4.

Summer was causing a ruckus, protesting farmers, ranchers, the death of animals, and meat production’s destruction the environment… you know, your day-to-day tree hugger bullshit, when John explained to her the real price of being a vegan.

And she wasn’t expecting it:

“You ever plow a field? To plant the quinoa or sorghum or whatever the hell it is you eat. You kill everything on the ground and under it.

You kill every snake, every frog, every mouse, mole, vole, worm, quail… you kill them all.

So, I guess the only real question is: how cute does an animal have to be before you care if it dies to feed you?”

It was quite the mic drop moment:

His words actually echo something that Ted Nugent said on an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast a few years back.

Of course, large-scale cattle and hog operations require a whole lot of corn and grain farming to feed the livestock, thus killing the critters in the field as well.

However, ranchers aren’t the self-righteous folks shaming people for eating meat, while conveniently ignoring the all death and destruction their tofu burgers cause.

‘Yellowstone’ Star Kevin Costner Spotted Cozying Up To Singer Jewel

Kevin Costner‘s got a new lady in his life, it looks like.

The Yellowstone star was seen cozying up to singer-songwriter Jewel Kilcher, whose stage name is Jewel. The two were seen getting snuggly while at Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands for a charity golf tournament. The tournament benefits the Inspiring Children Foundation, which Jewel is the founder of. Costner was a guest at the event.

Sources reported to TMZ that a source close to the both of them confirmed they are together, and the photos from the event back that up.

Jewel is seen talking into a microphone while leaning back up against Costner, and Costner has his hands wrapped around the singer’s waist.

The two were in the Caribbean for a week, and the source noted:

“There was definitely something going on. They were flirty, and when they were together, it was like they both just lit up.”

A second source added:

“You could tell they were trying to be discreet, but anybody who saw them could tell something was going on.”

This is quite the turnaround given Costner’s prolonged and bitter divorce from his estranged ex-wife Christine Baumgartner. During their settlings, it was reported that Costner wanted to make her life “a living hell,” and all aspects of their financial split and emotions were put on blast in the public eye.

While it appears the relationship is fresh, the two seem smitten together. Maybe Jewel can change Costner’s tune on returning to Yellowstone.

Born in Utah and raised in Alaska, sounds like the perfect match for John Dutton.
