Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly has seemingly confirmed that a Rip and Beth spin-off is officially in the works after months of speculation.

The gripping western drama from Taylor Sheridan came to an end on December 15 with a dramatic two-hour finale that saw the British actress, 47, slay her on-screen brother Jamie (Wes Bentley) in a tense showdown and the ranch sold.

Many have been left wondering if they will ever see any of the characters they’ve known and loved for the last six years again – and thankfully Kelly appeared to casually confirm reports that she will be reprising her character, Beth.

She announced the news on her Instagram page when a fan asked whether she could confirm rumors about a spin-off.

‘So is the rumor in the UK that you and Rip are making a spin-off season not true?’ a social media user asked.

‘Whatever happens I’ve loved every second of every episode in every season. You guys are all amazing.’

Replying to the comment, Kelly simply wrote: ‘True.’

Kelly had been paying tribute to the Paramount Network show ahead of the season five finale when she revealed the news.

Alongside a teaser clip for the last episode, she penned: ‘Words cannot convey how I feel about the people I got to work and create with.

‘The support from the crew and the trust and dedication of the cast. The words I got to say and the woman I got to inhabit the past seven years. It changed me. It lit me up. It challenged me in every way possible and I will forever be grateful for it.

‘For Taylor Sheridan who took a chance on me and continued to write her in ways I got to feel on fire as an actor. Thank you the audience we made it for, for being on this journey with us.’

In August, reports surfaced that Kelly and her on-screen partner Cole Hauser were in ‘negotiations’ for a sixth season.

Although sources emphasized to Deadline that the deal was still up in the air, it was claimed the upcoming episodes would focus on the couple’s characters following Kevin Costner‘s exit from the neo-Western drama.

The pair had previously been rumored to be joining the Yellowstone spinoff The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer.

Last month, Cole teased that he would love to continue to portray his beloved character, Rip, while reflecting on the possibility of a spinoff and the continuation of the Dutton story.

‘[It] sure would be a shame to stop a great thing,’ he told People.

‘I believe the numbers speak for themselves and America has spoken,’ he noted, nodding to the immense popularity of the modern-western series, which garnered an astonishing 15.7 million viewers last season.

He continued: ‘Taylor [Sheridan’s] and my interest was to bring back an American man who is unapologetic, honest, loyal with strong values.

‘I believe we have accomplished that together.’
