Yellowstone’s Teeter Star ‘Scarily Enthusiastic’ In Fight Scenes Admits Stunt Expert

Yellowstone’s Teeter actress left a stunt co-ordinator impressed and baffled when she dived straight into the violent sequences.

A Yellowstone stunt co-ordinator couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing when the star behind Teeter was “scarily enthusiastic” during fight scenes.

Pink-haired and tough talking Texan Teeter (played by Jennifer Landon) was welcomed into the fold of the Paramount Network drama in the third season and quickly became a fan-favourite.

Unafraid to spit, work and fight like the rest of the male ranch hands at the Bunkhouse, Teeter easily held her own right from the word go.

This was proven during series three when she, Colby Mayfield (Denim Richards) and Ryan Bingham (Ian Bohen) confronted a group of bikers who had intruded on Dutton land.

Ian initially tried to politely tell them that they were on Yellowstone property but when one of them called Teeter a b****, she did not hold back and a violent brawl broke out.

Thankfully, Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) quickly came along to put an end to the fight but not before Teeter was seen smacking someone at the back of the head and biting the arm of another.

During an episode of the official Yellowstone podcast, Teeter star Jennifer Landon talked of filming this particular scene with stunt co-ordinator Jason Rodriguez.

She said: “My favourite stunt that we did together J-Rod, it’ll probably always be the season three biker sequence.

“I was on cloud nine by the end of that day, I was tired, we had done it so many times but that was so fun and I got to work with your brother who I love…”

He laughed: “You got to bite him right?”, to which the actress confirmed.

Rodriguez continued: “That was a fun sequence and that was Jen’s first season so I had a [stunt] double for her just standing by, because I didn’t know Jen yet and everything.

“And I remember Denim [Richards] and Ian [Bohen] going ‘Hey, where the hell’s our double?’ and I go ‘I know you guys, you’ll be fine’.

Ian’s going ‘I hate getting slammed around and stuff like that’ and I go ‘You’ll be fine, suck it up, get in there’ and my stunt doubles beat the hell out of them.

“And they had no doubles and Jen’s double is standing over there and once I got to really know Jen and saw her that day I go ‘I’m never going to have to double her for stuff like this again’ because she just loves it and thinks it’s the greatest thing ever.”

Landon agreed: “I get so mad when I don’t have enough fight stuff, I’m like ‘No! I live for this!’.

“You scarily get into the fighting way too enthusiastically”, Rodriguez commented.

“Like the bar fight this year, she’s running around in the rehearsals and as she dispatches with her guy, she grabs somebody else on the floor and smashes them at the back of the head. I mean, she owns it.”

Sadly, Teeter’s journey on Yellowstone has already come to an end as John Dutton (Kevin Costner) decided having women in the Bunkhouse was causing issues among the other workers.

So, as a result, Teeter had to move on in the first part of Yellowstone season five which aired last year.

Yellowstone is available to watch on Paramount Network.
