Talking about some of the details about his iconic physique, Sylvester Stallone revealed in an old interview how he stays jacked and fit all year round. The hack truly sounds enormous and Stallone’s calories are truly off the charts as the actor plays in the extreme zones of the calorie intake.

When Sylvester Stallone’s Calories Were Haywire

Sylvester Stallone has suffered great pains to reach the status of stardom that he is in right now. Training himself every day, Stallone had some tricks up his sleeve that helped him maintain his physique while having the appetite of a giant.

In an old interview, a young Stallone sat down to talk about how he used to work out every day of the year. Talking about the no days for rest, Stallone revealed that he used to work out more on weekends!

“Mostly it’s all diet. What you eat is what you is. I overdo it on the weekends. During the week, it’s almost all protien and by friday night, I’m ravenous. And then I’ll bulk up and then by monday, I’m back on the machine”.

The actor further continued,

“I’ll be down to 1100 (calories) and then on the weekend, I could be up to like 9000. I mean, we’re talking tons of French toast. It’ll be like peanut butter in my hair!”

Well, this diet seems to have changed as Sylvester Stallone was not cast as an extra in Francis Ford Coppola’s magnum opus, The Godfather as he did not look Italian enough!

Sylvester Stallone Did Not Look Italian Enough

Back in 1972, Francis Ford Coppola directed the iconic film The Godfather. In one of the wedding scenes, there were a total of 250 extras for the scene and Sylvester Stallone wanted to be one of them. Speaking to Fox News, the Expendables actor revealed they refused him because he didn’t look Italian enough.

“For some reason, gangsters have this aura, and I’ve been left out every time,” Stallone explained. “I remember going in to audition for ‘The Godfather’ as an extra, one of 250 people at the wedding. They said I don’t look Italian enough.”

Although he couldn’t star in the film, Stallone managed to star in Rocky in 1976 and shot his way to fame in Hollywood.
