Amid a successful year of creating music for folks to listen to, Yellowstone star Luke Grimes shocked his followers when he announced his plans to release his first full-length album.
In a new Instagram post, he not only revealed the self-titled record is set to drop on March 8, but fans can already get a preview of what’s to come with the release of “God and a Girl,” the first single off the new album.
“My first full-length album is coming out on March 8th,” he wrote on Instagram on February 2. “I’ve spent the last couple of years trying my best to make something that I would be proud to put into the world. Now, all I can hope for is that it finds a few people to connect to and it makes them feel like they aren’t going through all of this alone. That’s what my favorite music has always done for me.”
“We are also releasing ‘God and a Girl’ today,” he added. “One of thirteen songs on the album (some of which you will know from the EP). You can also Pre-order starting today if you so choose. Much love and more soon … ”
When fans discovered the actor is continuing to create more music to add to his catalog, they couldn’t help but bombard him with excitement.
“Awesome — huge congrats! Can’t wait! 👏,” one person wrote on Instagram. “About freakin time!! Looking forward to hearing the full fruits of your labor!” another declared. “Looking forward to hearing the album. I’m sure everyone will love it! ❤️,” a different follower rejoiced.
As people may remember, Luke released his first EP, titled Pain Pills or Pews, back in October 2023. He also spent the end of the year touring across the country.
The singer is also set to perform at the Stagecoach music festival for the second year in a row on April 27, sharing the stage alongside names like Miranda Lambert, Post Malone, and Willie Nelson.
