General Hospital spoilers taunt that Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) baby, Ace Prince-Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), is Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) son, not Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss).
Esme seemed to be on the road to redemption, but now she is experiencing a surge of memories. One item of particular interest is that she will soon recall is that Spencer is the father of her baby.
Spencer is Fixated on His “Little Brother” Ace
Ace has been Spencer’s obsession, treating him more like his own son than Nikolas’. He’ll be shocked to hear that Ace is his, but it will also make sense why he felt so protective of the small man.
Spencer nearly lost his lady love, Tabyana Ali’s Trina Robinson, because to his obsession with his “little brother” and his treatment of him like a son.
Spencer was given a choice by Trina: he either choose her or Esme and the baby. The fact that Spencer picked Esme does not sit well with Esme.
When Esme was “good,” she tried to distance herself from Spencer by getting her place. She had unrequited feelings for Spencer and didn’t know how to let them go.
Now that Esme is back to her old ways, we will see that she remembers that she lied about Nikolas being the father. She did it for her father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), who lured Esme into his plot to “be a family” with her and her mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills).
Esme was never in love with Nikolas; it was all part of her and Ryan’s diabolical plan to break up Nikolas and Ava Jerome (Mara West).
Esme’s Plans Changed
But then Esme leaped off the Cassadine parapet, landing right into the water. She woke up with amnesia and didn’t remember who she was. She became close with Spencer, and the two became a family with Ace. Little did Spencer know that he wasn’t Ace’s big brother but that he was his father.
Esme is an intelligent girl, and she’s cooked up a plan. She has the truth in her back pocket and plans to reel Spencer into her web of deceit and then drop the bomb.
Once she does, nothing will be the same. Spencer may even start rethinking his decision to be with Trina, and Esme will be secretly overjoyed. She can’t wait to put her plan into action.
Esme’s former self will be too much of a blur to Spencer, who will be too preoccupied with Ace to notice. She will continue to act as though Heather, the maniac, is able to save her.
After just one night with Nikolas, Esme became pregnant, and we knew she had to be lying. There’s a reason Nikolas didn’t inquire further and just assumed he was the father. Spencer is the father, not him.
