Sylvester Stallone, the action movie icon known for films like “Rocky” and “Rambo”, is a certified Hollywood A-lister. He took his talents to the small screen with the hit crime drama series, “Tulsa King”.

The show follows Dwight Manfredi, a New York Mafia capo freshly released from prison after 25 years. Exiled by his boss and sent to set up shop in the unlikeliest of places – Tulsa, Oklahoma – Dwight must rebuild his criminal empire with a ragtag crew of unlikely allies.

“Tulsa King” quickly garnered a loyal fanbase, leaving them hungry for more after its successful first season. But will there be a season two? The answer, according to Stallone, might hinge on one key factor.

Sylvester Stallone Might Do Tulsa King Again If His Wife Comes On The Set Along With Kids

Sylvester Stallone is a family man first and foremost. His personal life also spilled over into Family Stallone, which offered a glimpse into the lives of Stallone, his wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone, and their daughters. Now, Stallone’s dedication to his family might just hold the key to the future of Tulsa King.

Speaking to Variety, Stallone revealed how hard it was to shoot a television series in comparison to movies. Thus, he definitely needs stronger motivation to get to do more seasons of Tulsa King. For a guy like Stallone, no motivation might be bigger than family.

“It’s beyond tough. I can’t believe some people have done this for four, five or six seasons. It’s brutal, compared to filmmaking. I’ll never say, ‘This is a hard shoot’ again on a feature. It’s a vacation compared to this! It really is.” – Stallone talking about shooting TV show

“Can they shoot it in my home in Palm Beach? That’d be nice,” he says with a laugh. “I talked to my wife about it. If she comes along with the kids to the set to visit, perhaps. But it’s a big decision, it really is.”

While Sylvester Stallone hasn’t yet committed to returning as Dwight Manfredi, it seems the encouragement and presence of his family could be the deciding factor.

Sylvester Stallone Compares Tulsa King’s Dwight Manfredi To Himself In Reality

In the interview with Variety, Stallone revealed some surprising insights – he sees a surprising amount of himself in Dwight Manfredi. The show’s executive producer Terence Winter compared the character to Stallone where he said “So much of Dwight is actually taken from the real guy”.

The Rambo star then joined in the chat stating “the only difference (between Stallone and Manfredi) is the name”. Stallone also said that he would not have been a great gangster in real life due to his humorous nature. Luckily, he conquers hearts, not territories, and fans adore the real Stallone.
