Season 1 of Tulsa King wrapped up on January 8, with Sylvester Stallone captivating the small screen as mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi, and for once, fans don’t have to worry about the show’s future. Paramount+ announced that a second season is definitely a go. The show, from the mind of Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, was actually renewed after just three episodes.
According to Deadline, David Glasser, CEO of 101 Studios, said, “We could not be more excited about the success of Tulsa King. It’s a fun, fresh show that audiences are truly embracing in no small part because of its star, Sylvester Stallone. We are thankful to Chris McCarthy and MTV Entertainment Studios for their continued support, and we are looking forward to getting back on set for Season 2.”

The official Tulsa King Instagram account shared the news, and fans dropped excited comments like “LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show!!!! I can’t wait for season 2!!! I’m hoping it will be more than 9 episodes!!” and “This maybe Sly’s best role to date. Tremendous show!”
But that’s not all. In an interview with IndieWire, Paramount Global’s chief programming officer Tanya Giles said the show could potentially get the full Yellowstone treatment, with a whole Tulsa King universe made up of prequels and spinoffs. Tanya explained, “The huge success we’ve had with Tulsa King and Sylvester Stallone opens up possibilities with Taylor Sheridan, who consistently, his mind works in terms of universes and backstories, so I think there’s always a possibility that there’s more to that universe and more to that story. More to come there.”
The release date for season 2 has not yet been announced. Season 1 of Tulsa King streams exclusively on Paramount+.
